Access to the Gen from here has been down all morning frown

I have the first versions of the two editors for the EAW 1.3 Weapons and Hardpoint.dat files:

There is a "HPWEP.exe" 7-zip self installer in the "Utilities" folder at Coders with both editors in it smile

I have done some more work on the Weapons.dat editor:

What you can do now is to copy a line, add an extra line, and paste the copied data into it for editing.
In the screenie I had selected the 200 gal Tank to be copied, and pasted the data into a new line that I had added to the bottom.

You can change the name of the weapon for the new line (or any other).

You can save a text file of the new weapon list, for conversion to "weapons.str" for use in the game.

You can also delete lines.

Edit:
There is a "WepDat2012V2.ex_" in the Utilities folder which just needs to be re-named as "WepDat2012V2.exe" and used in place of the original version (WepDat2012.exe).

Just had a 1st look, best would be when both editors get the same layout. Also the Hardpoints can have and should have names, on the otherside the layout of the hardpoint editor is better, cause its more easy to compare and adjust values of different weapons/hardpoints.
This is needed cause values like the drag, weight etc must fit to the other weapons/hardpoints.

There is a WepDat2012V3.ex_ in utilities

As the hardpoints table has far fewer values it made sense to use a simple editor.
The weapons names come from weapons.str, but I am not aware of an equivalent file for hardpoints.
We could make some names up, just for the editor.
There are links between the two tables, and the editors can be run simultaneously.

Check your PMs smile

Here are all three editors working on my desktop smile

The loadout editor has the replacement mounts.txt file as referred to in my last PM.

Tony,

Just wanted to pop in and say thanks for the effort.

Not sure when I'll get to using the new utilities as we're prepping for a cross-country trip here but I WILL get to them eventually.

Thanks Ray. There's no rush as the development of these editors is a WIP until the relevant sections of 1.3 are finalised.
Ralf has not read the PM I sent him yesterday, so I am awaiting further instruction.
