Today I was told that I will receive surgery tomorrow, which will leave my left foot incapacitated for the upcoming days. Driving my real car won't be a problem, as I currently have a car with an auto gearbox and only need the right foot for gas and brake, but in sim racing it will be unusual, as I always brake with the left foot there and that won't be possible on sunday.
So please understand that I most probably won't be able to manage decent laptimes (and be a bit more careful around me), but I will participate nonetheless. That will make you brake early, which is a good point for the race

Nope, Norisring, the complete opposite : laps below 50s, 4 turns, all of them slow !

This track is crazy. Can we make the race with one set of tyres? Breaking eats a lot of them (maybe its just my left foot being too heavy).

Can be done, but the car loses some tenths a lap, yeah

The tires will easily do the 30 min race. Changing tires will cost you more than you gain. At least that is how it is with the Porsche 935.

Note about Sunday's racing. We will start right at the hour and try very hard to finish on time as we did last weekend.
Several of you have Father's Day activities so we'll get it over by 2 PM EDT.

I have survived, I have survived! Sorry for the touches here and there. This track is crazy, worthy partner for these crazy cars.

I still can't believe how FUN Norisring was! Took me all week, but the end of practices on Saturday I finally figured out the gearing for my 935 that was quick and comfortable. I gained about 1-2 seconds per lap over what I had been running. The results didn't pan out in my favor, but man did I have some fun! Somebody said it was the road version of Martinsville...that's no lie. No hard feelings about a couple incidents, everyone was pushing hard...you have to here. Off to the next one!

That was fun racing and the sprint race worked much better for me than expected. It was exciting to have faster cars pass me on the straight, but I could brake later and was in front again. That stunt didn't work the entire time, but made the race fun and challenging for me.
