Okay, it's not a sim, but it can certainly be fun , sometimes. Last night was one of those times.
Caspian Border map. I'm in my tank, having a great time. Love armor. Helicopter damages me, and I climb out to repair. Some guy with an RPG nails it and it blows up right in my face, but I'm alive. He starts taking pot shots at me, and I see 'im and nail his a##!
But, now, I'm a tanker without a tank. And I'm way behind enemy lines. I start working my way back to the nearest position that we hold, or to at least link up with some freindlies. I'm figuring I'm going to be dead soon. On the way I spot some enemy mines and blow them up with my rifle. I keep walking and reach the Construction site. They still hold it. I don't see anybody, but you know that it's a place where a whole lotta bad guys can be hiding. As I approach, no one is shooting at me. I make it inside. Theres one guy in there! He wounds me but I kill him. Flag neutralized....flag captured. Yeah!
Now our guys are spawning there. I still can't believe I'm still alive...it's not like me.
The other team wants the position back. What a great fight. Two tanks are coming. I grab my RPG and hit him. And again. Tank kill. Two more. They really want this place. I damage one, and I'm out of rockets...team mates finish him off and get the other one, too.
They're attacking from the sky with rockets, they're coming with tanks, and they are even parachuting in. They make it in a bunch of times but are driven off every time.
Finally, I'm dead. And I see that the construction site has fallen. Oh well. it was almost 1 A.M. I called it quits.
Too much fun.

True, Pooch!

It is addictive, more than the CoD series just because the level of playing is
more mature, more in sync and better aimed at the true objective of the
particular game played. Maps are awesome, equipment is sweeeeet and the teamplay
is fantastic! Did I mention how I love the 'taking-the-dog-tag-while-knifing' bit!

Cheers

get a 4 man squad w/ voice coms,

each member choose a "Squad Perk" (ie Squad Explosive, Sqaud Ammo) etc, all 4 squad members roll with every perk :), so fun to watch idiots whine in the chatbox because they dont understand how we can have so many rockets, bullets, grenades, or communicate so fast.

I've finally moved away from the Assault class, where i was owning people with my G3A3 on single shot mode. now im just running around with my SMG.. as long as I dont stand still Im gold. have a sniper spotting with his UAV and I just run around and spray them down.

I like the voice comm idea, but for me, it won't work. I usually am able to play after my wife and kids go to bed, so I have to be quiet. Only thing keeping me off of voice comms. I'd love to use it.

4 team squad with comms is brilliant fun,1 guy has a Javelin,1 with a sofcom,1 with extra ammo and a medic and sit on the edge of a map on top of a hill taking out tanks and helicopters and picking off the enemy as they try to get us, and reading the winging and moaning about us !!
It is fun lol !
