It is a DCS: World module. You don't need the previous titles, and DCS: World is free.

I'm surprised about the direct vehicle control. Everything else is as expected. Still, darn neat. I can't wait for clever shoot and scoot ZSU-23-4 in multiplayer or IADS. Now all that's needed is a dedicated server and some online campaigns can happen!

Definitely interested in this. JTAC sounds pretty cool.

Just to clarify as its not very clear. Do you have to own the original A-10, Blackshark2, and Mustang standalones? Seems too well priced at 29.99 to get them all for free under the DCS Combine Arms. I think the original 3 are still going at 39.99 at the moment. What about those who bought via Steam?

Thanks you for any info you can share.

No - all you need is DCS World (freeware) and whatever module you want to install thereafter. Not having other modules just means that you will not have direct control of said flyables. In other words, if you want to fly the Kamov, Mustang or A-10 as well as partake in the ground war, you will need all 4 modules installed. Just the ground war, you need CA and so on and so on.

Regarding STEAM purchases, you will just download the relevant module, install it to DCS World and it will be activated as a consequence of your prior STEAM activation. In other words, all it takes is a module download. Whether it forms part of your STEAM library I cannot say at present.

Hope that makes sense smile

Will the ground mesh be more detailed than before? It seems awful hard to hide on that flat terrain. Interesting to see how/if they have changed the ground unit ai. Might make finding and hitting vehicles from the air a bit harder.

It certainly looks interesting...combine it with a mid east map and I'll buy it.
