I've had a heck of a good time in it--even when playing with just the public for a team. Like Conviction isn't what I want from Splinter Cell, but still managed to be a lot of fun in it's own way, GRFS has been a fun one. In fact, the SP campaign has been better than the GRAW games were, on console at least.
In MP, the default game type is Conflict, which just isn't much fun. Siege is pretty good. It's nice to see a shooter come out that actually has a no respawn game *and* people playing it--unlike LMS in MOH. Decoy is another good game type, with the attackers having to hack up to 3 nodes to find the location of a final objective. Sticking to these 2 game types, I've got more game time in this game than others in a long while.
Main complaint is that ranking up is somewhat slow so I've stuck to just one class for now. On the other hand, your rank isn't displayed in the lobby so there's no BS pissing contest about prestige or any crap like that, no ridiculous perks or annoying pop ups coming up all the time. All replaced by a nice gun system and a few equipment options.
Best part....everything is fully unlocked in private rooms. Console is limited to 6 vs 6, but it's nice having 12 friends in a room, something that hasn't happened in a long time with recent games concentrating only on squads in a party system.
