Great job and way to finish!

At the start of my race the guy in front of me checked up right as the race went green - I checked up as well to avoid slamming into the back of him. The guy behind me went full throttle into the back of me spinning me into the wall causing a huge pile up and a caution from the get go. End of race for me along with 10 other drivers. Oh well, the kicker is for a second I thought about starting in the pits just to avoid all the initial craziness of 33 drivers starting at one time.

Man that sucks! I am pretty sure thats reportable and I would report it. At least iRacing doesn't make us start 3 wide like IRL!

More like this on SimHQ please. smile

Great writeup. Outing myself solidly as a nerd, reading this was more fun than some RL races I watched in the past.

Got to agree with that one. Went to the Detroit Indy Grand Prix yesterday. What a sad joke.

- 40 laps into the 90 lap race (which saw no leadership changes after start due to some good driving by Dixon and a very restrictive circuit) the race was red flagged for 2 hours (!) because the patch job they had done on the Detroit circuit started coming apart causing cars to crash

- They repaired the various pot holes and gouges with epoxy and a leaf blower!!! (I kid you not, watch here from 3 mins

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5dYsLVKZoJ4 )

- They restarted the race, but only for a final 15 laps, no doubt worried their patch job would not hold up

I stuck around, because I was in a free beer tent, but 90% of patrons had given up and gone home by that time and I don't blame them.
