Hi,

A new member here so firstly, hello to all!

I've been flying around the world of il-2 for a couple of days now and been figuring out the nuts and bolts of the sim quite well so far.

Today I hopped in the FW-190D (late) and the FW-190A just to test them. However, for the life of me (literally) I wasn't able to get them trimmed. Both kept leaning heavily to the left no matter what I tried to do with the trims.

Am I doing something wrong here with the specific plane? I've had no trouble trimming other planes so far.

Ah, and I'm on version 4.11 plain stock version, no mods.

Hi and welcome to IL-2.

Going from memory, I think both FW had no trim but elevators one, so, if you mean they keep rolling left (CCW), it's normal.

For a complete guide about flyable inventory, including available trims per aircraft, please download following one:

Cheers,

I believe that Greybeard is correct. Most of the fighters of that era had limited trimability, usually only offering elevator trim as a cockpit control. As I recall, most or all of the German fighters share this characteristic. American-designed aircraft in the sim tend to be comparatively luxurious and have elevator, aileron and rudder trim controls in the cockpit.

Yes, FW-190 only had elevator trim, there are trim tabs for the ailerons and the rudder, however these are set on the ground by the ground crew.
