The story mentions 300+ people being laid off via e-mail with no prior notice and at the same time they also lose their Health Insurance in one day.
I feel bad for these poor people and their families and find the employer's behavior despicable.

I agree that it is terrible what happened to these employees and that the behavior of the employer was dispicable. However, I also think it's terrible that the tax payers in RI will now be saddled with this 75 million dollar loan that went toxic. Of course I'm sure all of us here know that the taxpayer is the one who eventually foots the bill when a public loan or investment goes bad.
