Dear friends,
No mini patch today.
We're working along the following lines:
* Obviously, fixing all reported issues encountered during testing. * DX9 support * Completing all other incomplete graphics and performance improvements
We're also working through an unexpectedly large volume of reported issues with the flight model.
The next version of the patch, which will take a bit more work, will contain all of the above. We'll keep you updated.
Thank you again for your tireless efforts in helping us make the game better.
Have a great weekend!

B6 was pressed for an update but truth is there isn't much to say- its still not working, much head scratching ongoing. Give it a couple of weeks, I bet you will get back to the good stuff then. A picture of a Russian hedge perhaps.

How long will this sim take to get out of Alpha? its been over 7 months now since the last official patch and 15 months since release and were still in bloody Alpha state.
I was test flying the other day, quite low and the textures just looked horrible, plus terrible pop up clouds, stutters and low FPS with clouds, smoke and particles mean im hardly playing at all now.

Never before in the field of computer simulations was so long taken by so many to fix so few...

Don't they post BoM pics any more? No, apparently they thought that it would upset people showing pics from a sequel when they haven't even finished the first one yet. I don't get it though, everybody knows by now that most of their resources are going to BoM so go ahead show pictures of the game no person with at least an ounce pf self-respect will buy....unless it's really awesome of course...which is highly unlikely....but still...maybe.

As an aside, I am very distressed that the "OMG this is the Greatest Friday Update every in the history of the universe" oral manipulation thread is only 9 pages thus far.

Yeah, a few updates ago it was kind of funny. Now those "OMG! it's so great!" comments in the update threads are just surreal and frankly, a bit scary actually.

Well, As it has been said in no uncertain terms that BoM is going to use the CoD engine I guess that they have pretty much shelved that project until they can get CoD to run properly. As it is taking so long to make any progress in that regard I personally would suggest to anybody who is actually excited at the prospect of flying the Eastern front again to blow the dust of their copy of real IL2. I can guarantee that it will work and after all these years there is still a decent number of online players. I'm happy with RoF, although the DCS P51 sim looks more and more interesting. Add Iron Front to that and it's RIP to Cliffs of Dover for me. I wouldn't spend a bean on anything they chuck out again unless the internet is full of praise for it.

Actually, from what I've understood so far, the CloD engine will be used for BoM so they are practically working on both games at the same time. Except modelers who are just doing new models and stuff for BoM, luthier said there won't be any more planes or other stuff for CloD so one can assume all that work is going towards BoM. I agree, there's plenty better out there to spend my virtual time on. Right now it's all about A2A Simulations aircraft for me and I'm backlogging my Steam library, which was waaay overdue.:D Also, checking the latest news on the DCS: MiG-21bis with great anticipation. With all those distractions I can "live" without WWII sims for quite a while.

I hated them when i was in a world with no zombies..now i eat them 10 times a day.Daymn. I retreat back into the forest, to scared to make a rush for the nearest building. Hey Ajay, me too! Except, I'm near Berezino, and I wonder whether I'll finally find some matches if I loot this town, because... dammit, I'm so cold and I could do with a fire. Oh, and yes... I remember... a long, long time ago there was a WW2 combat flight simulator, it promised to be the next big thing, but then it was broken on release... and still broken a year after... we waited, and waited... and then, the zeds came... some said it was just a conspiracy to stop people complaining at each Friday update... but geez, I'm so cold, I hope I can find matches in Berezino...
