ok, I’m more into the choppers now.

I went on an abandoned "Chopper” server and “boosted” some to at least unlock Missiles…

The last few rounds I played (minus one where someone was hacking and got away with it because it was his clan’s server) I had a lot of points/kills by hovering high on the edge of the map, switch to gunner, and take out spotted/marked targets with either the gun or A2G Missiles, once I got low enough, switch back to pilot and reset my position. When I have to venture into the heart of the map, I usually hover high to avoid tanks cannons and ground fire (stingers have short range, tank cannons have low arc limitations), all I have to worry about is other choppers when I am locked, I have the most success with waiting, popping flares while diving to the deck and pickup up evading speed. I don’t know how some of these pilots know exactly when to pop flares, I’ll sneak up on them, lock them and wait for them to pop flares, they don’t, so I fire, and when the missiles get close they pop them. I also have been going as an engineer so I can land and repair instead of ditching it when I take 70%~ damage.

I’m trying to get my brother to spend more time in the gunner seat shooting targets on foot or in light vehicles. It’s also easier to take down enemy air in a chopper fight with him shooting him with the gun while I launch missiles. I can fly the choppers like no tomorrow, the planes on the other hand, have such a low FoV in the pit, I cant fly them at all.

They know to drop flares because the warning tone changes to a series of rapid beeps once a missiles inbound.
If you want to coordinate I can fly with you, maybe be a gunner. I don't have anychopper unlocks though.

also, Pilot/Gunner combo is way more effective with voice comms..

trying to just fly around and litterally point my chopper on the targets for a guy with no mic was not as effective as my brother and I with voice comms, as I can tell him where to target and when i need to break off to engage AIR targets.
