Is it possible to tweak somewhere in the configs the number of particles displayed in the smoke and dust? They seem to take the largest toll on FPS.

Thanks,
Dirk.

There used to be a mod for that i think, though i dont know if it still works with the latest version.
Were waiting a "few days" for a fix for clouds, grass, trees and smoke, though a "few days" could be anything you like, just make up your own time scale, the devs do.

I believe Ketetys was resposinble for the particle mod, I never tried it myself though and I'm unsure of where to find it. I had a look on his website though and it doesn't seem to be there. Perhaps it's not compatible with the newer versions of CoD. You can go into tha advanced graphics options and turn down 'visual effects'. Don't turn them down too much though as you can lose things such as the exhaust flame.

Bokoninst, I tried that, undfortunately it did not help @medium, so there must be something else to tweak.
Smokes and dust are only bad on the ground though, so it's not a major hurdle.
One thing I've also noticed there seem to be some dust puffs in the cockpit (looking at the rudder pedals towards the bottom) even when the engine is not running yet, as if it leaks inside through the hull of the plane (spitfire). I'm playing a campaign from the neighbouring thread, it's the first traning mission and there are no other aircrafts around to blow it in.

Thanks,
Dirk.
