Airfields are easily spotted from the air, both ours and his, but it can be rather difficult to spot a friendly Army Base. It's nice to know if they indeed exist, and roughly where they are. Because if you caught a few bullets to your fuel tank, and you know you'll never make it home, every army base has a parade ground which can make a very cozy place to land.

Except Army Bases near the front have the nasty habit of putting their supplies in small piles all over the parade grounds to protect against one artillery shell getting everything
