Happened to me with 4.11.1m and DGen_mod 1.0.0.7. Not intended as an anomaly; just curious.

After a mission during which I shot down two Emils, close to home base I saw what seemed another one, from nowhere. It was, instead, one of the two that with unseated pilot (like horse with no rider during Siena's Palio) had wandered until my air base and that I left, after having landed and immediately before ending mission, still flying! Actually in debriefing I got only one kill!

This isn't unique to any version. This happens after the AI pilot bails on occasion. I've seen it several times with both friendly and enemy flights.

That pilot is a very good trimmer.

If I bail out I find that the P-80 will fly until it runs out of fuel quite often, especially if I am in a shallow climb when I bail out.

This is even more dramatic:

I understand that's no matter of version (a good FM, though!); I was surprised that it followed to my air base!

It's a bug and it's been there since I remember. I occasionally lose credit for my kills because such pilotless, badly damaged aircraft stay up in the air, flying merrily on. Hopefully the Daidalos people will fix it one day.

You could just find it again and put it out of it's misery.
