Haha be careful, iRacing is an addiction :P

If you stick with the rookie series or one of the lower racing classes for a few seasons then it isn't too expensive as they try to limit the cost by not using many non-free tracks in those series, but the laser scanned content and the racing is so good that most of us end up buying even tracks and cars we don't plan to race on for the next season.

Bringing it back on topic somewhat, no Porsches in iRacing for now, but they are supposed to be getting a RUF RT12 next year, looking forward to that too but for now FM4 Porsches will be very fun for sure.

and seriously... I actually kind of regret it now, but iRacing ruins every other racing game, especially on console... at least for me, and addicting.

Yeah iRacing pretty much ruined rFactor1, Race07, FM3 and GTR2 for me, I could never much go back to the FFB/physics in those games and enjoy it, but the more modern sims/games like rF2, GT5(w/G27 wheel), FM4 (w/Fanatec) have decent enough physics and FFB that I enjoy it in a believable way even though it doesn't quite live up to what I feel in iRacing (and nKpro).

One big thing iRacing *doesn't* have is racing with multiple car models in the same class, it now has multi-class racing, but everyone in the same class is driving the same model car, which is a bit boring compared to some of the variety of cars that we can race fairly evenly in FM4.

Very dissapointed, I'd saved up lots of Microsoft points in anticipation of this pack but its the same car list from FM3 and as previously commented, a lord of 911 variants and re-skins.

No sign of the legendary 917 or 935, I'm saving my points for the upcoming Birds of Steel dlc.

Hehe agreed, at least the drifting is not forced on you as badly as Shift2 did where it was part of the career but then had a wholy separate terrible drifting physics model biggrin
