I think it's a sick idea. Even Hitler's dog is an innocent animal. It's one thing to have it in an obviously over the top black humour game like postal, but in a game like iron front it's poor taste indeed. I additionally think that when/if this reaches the general public the game is in risk of getting banned.

I can see why they didn't choose Hitler or Stalin instead of the dog though. But since the only thing a soldier would really defend is the field kitchen, I think that would make a better target.

A lot of russian dogs was killed with mines against tanks, during mine searching or helping to wounded. THEY was innocent.

Do you know, how many dogs and cats was eaten by hungry people during blockade of Leningrad? Noone of they was survived. Hundreeds thousend of innocent animals who waited for killed humans and keeping wait for them after a long time after war.

Think about them better. My heart is bleeding when i see such cruel comments.

They were intentionally killed by their own masters, it was horrendous, I completely agree. First person to try to strap a bomb to my dog would meet the business end of whichever firearm I had closest at the time.

The Russians would train dogs to go under tanks by hiding food under them and then when it was time to use them would strap bombs to them, let them go near German tanks and when they were underneath 'BOOM!'. At least the poor animals wouldn't suffer, being blown up, but still horrendous.

My comment was about creating a sporting event out of killing a dog. Albeit a virtual one but still in my mind a weird thing to do. If the scenario had been about killing mine equipped dogs making a dash for your tank, fine I could get my head around that. Or about hunting a dog for food in, for example DayZ, I guess that would be fine too. A bit rich perhaps but at least it fits the bill.

The hunt for Hitler's dog just seems like some sort of gamey, spur of the moment, guess you had to be there-idea that somehow made it into the finished product.

At least there isn't a game mode involving einsatzgruppen. The dog is poor taste, granted but I think I'll save my outrage.

No, that wouldn't make it to game thankfully. I'm sure that there are SS Panzergrenadiers in the game though with the camo smocks and helmet covers but with no SS insignia though. I heard it was wehrmacht only?

From what I've read on their forums, there were no SS units in action in the time area they built this around, and therefore none in game. Sure are a vocal few on their forums wanting them and the insignia's though, heh.

So did the wehrmacht wear similar camo to the SS troopers? Like this:
