Clarification for my poorly written sentence; I tried SS but do not use it as it causes an FPS hit and I don't really see an improvement in the look of the sim that would warrant keeping it on.

Problem is at your end. Clean up your computer, turn off background programs. i7 processor, here. 2.95 GB. 8 GB of RAMM. 2GB ATI 5770 Video Card. No super computer and ROF runs great.

Then do post your print screen of your settings in RoF and Catalyst, this will help people more then, shouting.

Thoarax, your name on ROF forums wouldn't happen to be der Zahn, would it? If so, it explains your bristly manner and the fact that you've charged Rise of Flight with being "poorly optimized"....again. If you're not der Zahn, then I'll just add you to the rather short list of helpful people who like to post scathing comments trashing Rise of Flight for being the worst thing since sliced bread, when it appears that you still haven't figured out what settings you need to get everything working well. darkcloud

Flogger23m: Turn off Supersampling. Everything else you should be able to run on high with that setup, as you have plenty of VRAM and the GTX 560ti is more than powerful enough to power through those settings. If you still run into trouble, try adjusting Lanscape, Reflections, Shadows, and Shader Quality down a notch and see how it handles.

Good luck. driving

I just upgraded my monitor from 22" 16/10 to 27" 16/9. Since I run an old PC with Core Duo E8500 and ATI HD 5870 with Windows XP, I was affraid I would have problems with my settings. But to my surprise, it runs smoother in 1920x1080 than it did before in 1680x1050, without having to change anything ( I mainly have landscape medium and no reflections , everything else is high, AAx4 and AFx8 )
RoF can run on older systems with little loss in graphics.
The good thing now is I much better see what's going on during MP flights !

Whats the ROF forums? Who?

Worst thing since sliced bread? I was under the impression sliced bread was a good thing. duh

Add me to the list (oh no anything but the list!) if you want. thumbsup

I could be a better person if you purchased me some planes as gifts. I will pm you my info so you can send them at your earliest convenience. .

I upgraded my rig to quad sli 680 GTX's with a 580 GTX as a physx card. I found all the latest and greatest settings with your help, and helpers like you. My game running just awesome, all settings maxed out over 200 FPS steady, right near the ground with 30 planes in the air. Thank You!
