The "switch" was easy for me. CA was down; I came here to the OFF forum that has existed for a long time, anemic though it was. Done and done. I'm at SimHQ everyday checking several other sims, anyway.

There was at least one giant move before, wasn't there? Details are hazy but IIRC the entire OFF forum was shut down somewhere (Sim Outhouse?) and wound up having to move to Combat Ace.

I'm getting too old for all this moving. OFF has been around ( that I know since Christmas 2005) I got a computer that I could use for it in June 2006, there was a massive crash at SOH in Sept 2008. We started OFF again with Nothing, we lost everything ( POOF ) it was all gone. I don't remember the exact date SOH politely asked us to leave. And we started anew at Combat Ace, now Here

Well, sad to say I gave up on
the attempt with my aging JS
(actually the throttle just
gave up the ghost). So I got
a saitek throttle thingy and
programed the mags off/on
function to one of the rocker
switches - bingo, works a
treat. Makes formation work
so much easier.

That was at least the third time the CombatAce forums went down in the last year or so and that's tough when you depend on it for business. I'm sure that factored heavily into the permanent move. In any event I'm thankful for our new home but like anything else it will take some getting used to.
