Good, I'm not particularly chomping at the bit for this right now, but I DO want to see it come out and I'm glad it's still WIP and not gone the...well, Fighter Ops route.

Ingeneer, who is one of the devs (so I understand) stated that "Yes, we have huge progress and release is coming soon."

Sounds good to me.

Great job guod, and nice find tapi, I am so glad that this is still ticking along! Am really looking forward to having a vanilla version of a WWII ARMA based game for a few months at least before I am constantly chasing 50 different mods just so I can get online! Don't get me wrong, the I44 guys have done a great job, but I am getting frustrated with there being so many different mods out there that you need to juggle every time you fire it up! If it plays as well as the update videos look we are going to be in for something special!

Cheers
Craig

I'm working on the preview right now.

What specific questions do you guys have and I'll try to make sure we cover them?

Great, I would love to know the extent to which the devs have modeled vehicle/ aircraft movement and flight physics, and also armour values, are they any more realistic than in ARMA II? Let em know I'm itching to get hold of it, have been since I first heard of it wink

Cheers
Craig

Ps, can you get us the low down on map size as well please smile

At some point (don't remember exactly when) it was mentioned that IRON FRONT: Liberation 1944 would model a much improved armour modeling specially regarding tanks. I read that the "Hit point" system that tanks have in ArmA2 is replaced by a armour "penetration" system in IRON FRONT: Liberation 1944.

What I would like to ask is how does this "penetration" system exactly works and what is the diference from this system and what we currently have in ArmA2?

FYI, preview is coming along and plan to publish it on Monday, 23 April.

Keep in mind guys this is a Preview and not a Review. That will come later. We'll try to give you a good idea about content included, but since its Beta we won't be passing much in the way of judgement until the Review.

I will tell you this -- unless we find a showstopper error in dedicated multiplayer, SimHQ will be hosting a weekly event on Saturday AM EDT for this title.

Hello
I have been reading info on Iron Front and I cannot figure out the Editor that will ship with the game. Is it like the Editor of ArmaII OA or a previous version of it? Will I be able to use commands and scripts that I have learned from using ArmaII OA on Iron front?
Will Iron Front allow mods in its structure?
Will Iron Front also support Dedicated Server?
Thanks for doing the preview in April smile
