Well Weird that the HDMI did not work with those settings changed?? The difference being the Timing the TV Uses and when at 1080p and using the HDMI it uses Video timings and that could have been the reason for the Artifacts while using HDMI..

But according to the manual when you set those certain settings like it stated in the manual that should have fixed those anomolies:
To View PC Content set Scene Select to Graphics,, Wide Mode to FULL,, and Display are to FULL PIXEL...

Wierd that it did NOT?? When you used the HDMI What HZ where you at?? Perhaps that was wrong??

To me, the weirdest thing is that the laptop would run the game fine (to the best of its ability), but this purpose-built system did not like the Sony HDTV. It leaves me with the sinking feeling that there is some issue with this particular GTX 570.

To refresh: the new (desktop) computer works fine in-game w/HDMI on two other displays, and the Sony HDTV works fine in-game w/HDMI on an older laptop (both running the same DCS A-10C).

DCS is now set to "HIGH" with water turned to low, traffic to high and trees cranked all the way up. Do birds have an effect? I went with 100% - not that I have any idea what that 'percent' means(?). I'm only flying training missions as of yet while familiarizing and learning switchology, but seeing ~40-50fps.

Unfortunately, I have to go fly a real airplane for work for the next four days, so I'll be away from the computer till Tuesday.... rolleyes

Thanks,
-Drew

if your tv has a VGA input use that one instead of the digital one. (never mind i missed that you already done that)
