Saying that though I would rather drink it in bucketloads than all that American stuff you call beer like Budweiser (king of beers, seriously? lol) etc. Yuck.
What a load of Yorkshire Shyte, from a big, fat, Yorkshire Pudding. *Falls of Chair laughing*
However, his assessment of American beer is correct. Its rubbish. Sort it out ffs.

Firstly, about the carafe..
That is crystal by the way. A set of four from my daughter at Christmas. It really makes the quaff taste better regardless of English tradition
Yes most of the mainstream beer in America is brewed in the urinals (as my father likes to so eloquently put it). Yet there are some very good microbreweries that have actually posted an increase in market share recently - as opposed to the etals. Samuel Adams is top notch too.
Bud, Miller, Coors and the laughable Michelob... eh not there. Never has been, never will.
I believe it was Monty Python who said that American beer is like making love in a canoe...

One thing in the American craft brew revolution that I've learned to be wary of is the "flavored" beer. Some brewers don't know the meaning of subtlety when it comes to flavored beers. Samuel Adams . . . don't get me wrong, I love a lot of their beer, but their Cherry Wheat is an example of too much added flavor. I'm not a purist because I believe that adding flavors can be done artfully, but we Americans have long had a weakness for too much sweetness and it comes across in some of our beers. Cherry Wheat should be in a giant smiling pitcher that comes crashing into a family living room saying, "Oh Yeaaaaahhh!" For those that don't get the reference:
