Do these a-holes have nothing better to do than pad their stats?

That is all.

I think they want to feel as if they are real WWI aces taking on the easy pickings.

Not counting myself as an expert...

1. Maybe because there is no-one else on any other server; a very common issue
2. They have limited time and the novice servers are setup for quick action

Also, a novice server kills do not go to a players stats.

The only time I have an issue with the experts is when they do not split up into the other teams and one side is smashing the other but other than that I accept I am bullet fodder wave

I'm no expert, but sometimes I play on those servers cause there is no one anywhere else!

They have big egos to nourish.
The funny thing is that as soon as they get someone who can give them a good fight they invariably quit instead of rising to the challange and learning something.
It's the same in every game online, always has been and always will.

Who is an expert is relative, of course. Average pilots who get worked over pretty badly at Syndicate might clean up at New Wings. Most likely, experienced pilots fly on the beginner servers because all other servers are empty. They are not there to pad their stats because global statistics are not enabled.

I ran into this way back when I played Eve Online...

We always had people or knew of people who got the best ships money could buy ( say, a Thanatos carrier ) and sat just inside docking radius to a station. After aggressing someone, the "player" would get his kicks taking the damage ( destroying everyone who came along ) right up until someone who was strong enough showed up, then docked until the threat to his ego went away. After it calmed down a bit, back out he'd come to pop more player ships.

Eventually the @sshat got himself a Mothership, then proceeded to really wreak havoc on all the newer players that came out to this one backwater area to "get away from it all", just to be rewarded with the same griefing they had traveled for almost an in-game half hour to get away from. He was a real peach.

As Georgio said, it sounds like many of these guys have big egos to nourish...perhaps some of them really ARE looking for anything that has activity on it for a server, but I'll throw my hat in for the former reason.

Those of you who have more patience than I do can deal with these types, I prefer to stay away from multiplayer. wave2

I'm no expert but not a noob either. I go there because most of the time there's nothing else going on on the other servers.

The novice servers have aids on. A lot of people prefer to fly that way.

Just like you get plenty of new pilots in in the Syndicate and HQ servers because they like the server settings.

Online flying is always going to be a challenge, which ever servers you choose, I've been playing RoF since the beta, flight sims for going on 20 years, yet still have nights where I can't stay in the air for more than 5 minutes at a time.

I always fly in the fullest server which is either New Wings or Syndicate. As far as I can tell there are only 2 servers on the Internet.
