Hello,
Had my Warthog since forever, and been using it happily... since one of the firmware updates the slider that would be the real throttle tensioner has a jitter issue on it.. as I set that as zoom within games, it is noticeable when the view zooms in/out in a jittering fasion slightly.. this is tested in the analyser software, and the numbers do jump up and down...
Is there a cure to this ? Have had a google, and one thread mentioned it can be down to the LED brightness causing the issue, which is a bit strange! I have had the problem for a while, and it only appeared after a firmware update.. have lived with it so far but it has now peeved me off too much!
This is an early Warthog, off top of my head I thik it is serial No 00069 so it is a classic !

That should be a Hall Sensor that picks up the signal - and should be impervious to dust and grit that would cause spikes in old potentiometer controls. I don't see how LED brightness is a direct factor, either, unless maybe brightened LEDs sap current from the Hall Sensor.

You could make a short video of the spiking and contact Thrustmaster about it...

Hope that helps...

Hope I'm not putting my foot in my mouth here, but I don't think that control has a hall sensor. The info on the web page does not specify technology for that trim slider.

Lists the stick, throttles & slew control as being HES, but does not specify for that one.

It doesnt have a hall sensor for the slider, i can confirm when LED brightness is set to 100% or off it works correctly, any value in between i get jitters off that axis.

What is now bugging me is that Target doesn't remember the LED brightess, turn off pc and its back to previous... Anyone know how to get it to keep it's settings?

Cheers!

Whats annoying, is that the MFD's remember the LED settings but the Warthog will not when set from Target!

Fixed... same issue as when updating firmware, it doesn't like being plugged into a powered or remote USB HUB... once plugged in to the main PC's USB ports, the LED lights remember the settings.. still get the jitters though when set at anything other than full or off.. LED's now set to full and jitters gone, no more bounncing in and out zoom view!

Hmmm, that makes me suspect the powered USB hub that your WH Throttle was plugged into?

After more testing, the Warthog will NOT remember LED settings after a full power down, after a quick restart it will.. which is better than when it was plugged into hub... but now after power is turned off they go back to standard settings, as pointed out in another thread, the MFD's will remember settings but teh Throttle won't! so before I fly, I need to open target and set brightness to full or off and jitters go away
