I finally watched "Solo: A Star Wars Story" this past weekend and right off the bat I will say that the only thing that really stood out to me was Donald Glover’s performance as a young Lando Calirissian. He absolutely nailed the character with all of the mannerisms and speech inflections of Billy D. Williams. The rest of the movie I dare say I found rather average and mostly forgettable. At least right now I have no desire to watch it a second time.
I also don’t know if this has to do with my age but one thing that bugs me about the recent Star Wars movies is how the characters can be in the middle of a serious life threatening situation but they will still crack one liner jokes. It’s just too incongruous for me. The Marvel movies are guilty of this too.
Another surprise for me was that I found Emilia Clarke to be quite “blah” and forgettable in her performance. It just goes to show what a huge impact the script and direction often has on an actor’s performance.
Anyway, I recommend this movie but really only for one viewing. With the exception of Glover’s performance there’s really nothing in it that is worth revisiting.

Bohemian Rhapsody, wow, great movie. Remi really did it. My wife and I both really enjoyed it too. Watching it, both my wife and I thought that the height difference between Rami Malik and Gwilym Lee (Brian May) was exaggerated, but in reality Rami is 3" taller than Freddy(5'9") and Gwilym is the same height as what Brian May is at 6'2"

"Air Strike" a complete mess of a film which the trailer lied and is about a truck that miraculously survives bombs and gunfire to deliver a secret cargo. Only 25% of the film is dedicated to a fighter squadron that blatantly show they didn't do their work in telling the difference from a P-75 and a P-40. (Though I heard it was cut down from a 3.5 hour epic to 1.5 hours and it shows with woman already pregnant half way through the movie and had a yearling at the end of the truck plot.)

IO on Netflix.
Don't. Just don't. Where do I go to get that 90 minutes back?

It has a 4.7 rating on IMDB so you seem to be in the majority! I’ve found the Netflix low budget/independent sci-fi movies to be very hit and miss so far.

I just finished the Battlestar Galactica series from 2005 last night. Awesome show, and great ending. The second half of Season 3 was pretty rough and dragged on, but aside from that, the series was fantastic. I wish there was more. Caprica - Prequel series to BSG: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0799862/?ref_=nv_sr_1Blood & Chrome - movie Prequel as well to BSG but it's specifically about the young William Adama when he first joined the Colonial fleet as a pilot. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt1704292/?ref_=nv_sr_1The Plan - movie Centers mostly on the backstory of Cavil and the other skinjob cylons https://www.imdb.com/title/tt1286130/?ref_=nv_sr_1

I have been binge watching TNG for a few weeks. I am about half way through the seventh and final season. I hadn't watched any of the episodes for several years so most of the episodes were fairly "new" again.
Wheels I remember seeing a TNG episode where Counselor Troi and some other female crew members were dressed in what looked like workout/gym clothes? It was just so funny to me because this is supposed to be the 24th century but yet the clothing and hairstyles were so obviously 1980's.

Couple of days ago i renewed my Netflix subscription and watched Deepwater Horizon and John Wick. Both really good for different reasons of course. I'am also watching 2nd season of Punisher and love it. Hands down my favorite Marvel TV series.
