Maybe so, but the intensity of the combat scenes in The Pacific definitely take it up a notch or so. If I watch it one more time I may need to see a therapist! Yeah, the combat scenes were incredibly well done and realistic. It really does make those older classic war movies like "Patton" and "The Longest Day" seem so quaint and innocent doesn't it?

Black Panther, it was great to watch it on our home theater, better sound. And even added ambience, Thunderstorm outside added to it at great timing for some action sequences.

The "problem" with The Pacific is that they stayed true to the timing of the battles, which were primarily at night. So lots of flashes of light in darkness. It brought home the tension and fear of it, but not exactly cinematic.
For my submission, the latest Avengers movie. What a shocker - did not expect it to go that direction.

Just recently finished listening to the audio commentary by Ridley Scott for "The Duellists". His intellect and insight are first rate. I knew you'd love that. I can watch that film over and over.

Binge watched The Pacific yesterday. S!Blade<>< The consensus on that series pretty much seems to be "pretty good but nowhere near as good as Band of Brothers". A little late to see this. That may be the consensus, but IMHO they are two different styles of telling the story of two very different wars. Band of Brothers(Awesome) about a company of men training, and para-trooping before D-day and seeing it through until VE day. The Pacific(Awesome) about three different individuals their individual roles and the individuals they fought alongside. I cannot pick one over the other as a favorite. They both bring tears to my eyes knowing what they sacrificed, how they did what they had to do and helped stop the Axis dream of ruling the world. Just my 2 cents, but I Enjoy both Immensely. I am wondering what ever happened to "TheMighty Eighth" ? S!Blade<><

Twilight Zone episode King Nine will not return. Season 2 - Episode 1Something I just found out today is that the B-25 used in the episode still exists. Source: http://b-25history.org/aircraft/4232354.htm(Go to link if you want to see images of the aircraft. The last one was taken in the 1980's) B-25C-10-NA 42-32354HistoryThe B-25C-10-NA SN 42-32354 was delivered to the military on January 14, 1943. She was transferred to the modification center in Kansas City for unknown modifications. She stayed stateside during the war mainly in the southeast. She spent a short time in Morris Field and then transferred to Godman Field. The majority of her time was spent first at Esler field, and then Marshall Field in Fort Riley, Kansas. On September 23, 1945 was struck from inventory. There are no records for her for the next several years. She was used as a movie studio prop appearing in season 2, episode 37 of the television series "The Twilight Zone". The episode was called "King Nine will not return". That show aired on September 30, 1960. Shortly after that episode aired, the studio sold her to Jack Hardwick of El Monte, California. She was stored dismantled there until she was purchased by Carl Scholl in 1988. Currently, she is stored at Ocotillo Wells, California awaiting restoration. - Model: B-25C-10-NA
- Serial Number: 42-32354
- NAA Mfg. Number: 94-12762
- FAA Registration: Never registered
- Mfg. Plant: Inglewood, California
- Completion Date: January 1943
- Delivery Date: January 14, 1943
- Status: Stored Dismantled
- Owner: Carl Scholl
- Location: Ocotillo Wells, California
- Website:
- Notable info: One of just a few remaining B-25C-NA airframes remaining. Appeared in season 2, episode 37 of the television series "The Twilight Zone" called "King Nine will not return".
