Watched the "The Sand Pebble"....
with Steve McQueen on an American gun ship playing an engineer during the Chinese Boxer revolution. Candice Bergan is in it when she was in her 20's I think.
If you haven't seen it, it worth a look even over todays newly released stuff.
Good movie, good director and story.

Cowboys & Aliens. A film that in my opinion delivers far more than the title might suggest. A good, fun film with very good special effects.
Equilibrium. Probably the 4th time of viewing. Plus,it stars the lovely Emily Watson! (No,not the vapid idiot Emma Watson of Harry Potter fame).

Indeed Panzer.I had seen C&A about 2 years ago,but last night watching it again with my nephew,I could not answer his questions about how the plot played out, until of course we got to the relevant sections when I suddenly remembered. However I put some of the blame for that on my age and not necessarily the movie.

in between waiting for our Southland disks to come in we started watching the Netflix series Bloodline. My brother told me about it because he spent 15 years living in the Keys and this is filmed in Key Largo and Islamorada. 2015-17 http://www.imdb.com/title/tt3520702/?ref_=nv_sr_1pretty decent cast and it pulls you in right away. Story Line "Intriguing story of a well off family in the Florida Keys that have many dark secrets. The siblings are heirs of a beautiful inn that has been in their family for 50 years. It is their childhood home with many great memories, but the deep dark past holds many untold tales. " Sam Sheppard is the Dad Sissy Spacec is the Mother Kyle Chandler is one son, seen him in many movies. Linda Cardellini is the daughter who looks familiar but can't place her from her shows Ben Mendelsohn is the troubled brother who comes back. I've seen him in a few movies and he's very good in this show. Norbert Leo Butz is the last brother, no clue who he is

Silent Running: somehow I'd missed this one until now, having watched many other classic early 70s sci-fi (Logan's Run, Andromeda Strain, THX-1138, Clockwork Orange). I really enjoyed it, especially with the very minimal cast - it's more like a play. It's dated a bit, but the conflict between Bruce Dern's righteous eco-warrior and the killing of his crewmates is an interesting one. Kingsman: this was hoot, and you could tell everyone involved in making it had a good time on set. Samuel Jackson chews the scenery as the Bond-esque villain, and there are some very good set pieces that seem to borrow a lot from 90s and 00s British films like Lock Stock, Trainspotting and Shaun of the Dead, as well as the old game No One Lives forever and the Flint films with James Coburn. And for those who likes the old NOLF games... http://nolfrevival.tk/

M*A*S*H season one.
Wow, I was watching this in the late 70s as a kid, with my folks. There's several episodes with borderline rape themes. I don't recall that being on TV but I must have seen it.
What kind of car is that? What does it matter? When I drive it, I'm Steve McQueen

I remember many of the film/showbiz websites talking about that when the film was released.
