I have been watching The Grand Tour on A Prime.

Lot's of laughs and some amazing cars.

Italian movie with Claudia Cardinale. You know who she is if you saw "Once upon a Time in the West".
The movie has subtitles but the version I saw used them in an especially interesting way. The parts where the English was dubbed had perfect subtitles but when it came to them speaking Italian it quite correctly informed you that they were "speaking in a foreign language". I would have never known without the subtitle informing me. biggrin

Nocturnal Animals with Jake Gyllenhaal and Amy Adams. What a weird movie, if you happen to watch it skip past the intro because it's huge, and I mean OBESE naked women dancing... eek

too many stories going back and forth and the ending sucked, no wonder it didn't last long in the theaters.

Nat Geo, LA92. Will never forget this. LA was not the only city to riot. It spread across the country like a wild fire. Met my wife during this.

"Ring of Terror" - The Mystery Science Theater 3000 version of course.

It's a really crappy B horror movie from 1962 with college students being played by actors in their late 30's and early 40's.

"Sand Castle"

A Netflix original movie set in the early part of the invasion after the second Iraq War (Operation Iraqi Freedom).

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2582576/

For a moment it makes you think it is a typical "war is bad" movie, but it develops more into a "why we do what we do" kind of war movie.

I liked the straightforward story.

Interesting movie, where the main character is both someone to admire and a total douchenozzle.

I eat at that Bloomington MN McD all the time. lol

I never knew the Minnesota tie in to his story before.

Nope... San Bernardino, CA by the McDonald brothers. They had already started franchising (unsuccessfully) when Kroc came in as partner.

He then opened the first outside the SW US in Des Plaines, Ill.

Ah ok. I didn't know about that San Berrnardino thing Bib.

I'm pretty sure Wendy's started in Ohio and Burger King started in my hometown of Miami!

Still working through Babylon 5, currently about half way through season 3. I can see why everyone says the first season is the weakest.
Not that I minded, I go nothing against taking some time to set up the characters and situations before kicking the whole thing off. That's one of the reasons I sometimes prefer a good miniseries or TV show over a movie.

That's a great dumb movie to watch sometimes, right up there with Starship Troopers.

When I'm in the mood to watch dumb movies, I just watch one of my Mystery Science Theater 3000 dvd's. Might as well laugh while watching a dumb movie. biggrin
