Well after working and tinkering all week with designs and thought processes on what to do I kept coming back to a plan that I found on Sketchup (http://sketchup.google.com/3dwarehouse/details?mid=5b18e62072f69395ea1e14c9fffff94f)and I tweaked it a little bit. It isn't finished since I have to get another sheet of Birch plywood to make the front section for MFD's, comms box and monitor stand for it and then the internal shelves for my control board mounts and USB hub mounts as well. But anyway here is the beginning shots.

If I would have had access to a CNC saw I would have been able to get almost everything out of one sheet of plywood with very little waste but that just wasn't going to happen.

Should have more updated today...adding in the shelves later today along with the front panel and hopefully the USB hub slots with the MFD mounting locations. Always measure 20x before making the first cut I say because 2x is never enough to be sure you are lined up right.

But then I worked in metric sizes for so long with fabrication that I can not be sure of my standard measurements so everything is converted from the plans sizes to metric and done there.

Two more pictures updating the progress of the side boxes. I had to remount the internal shelving before I could place the USB hub in the top one. Also I am waiting on that little 12 port hub to arrive so I can have all I may need for the time being. The monitor mount is going to be a semi-permanent fixture that is going to have some pull pins in it to allow me to move the thing around in case my next job requires a move somewhere. If that happens then I may need to rethink my whole pit setup. Anyway the one that this one is sitting on top of is identical to this one.

They are going to be placed about 26" apart to allow me room to move in my chair when I am playing and still allow me to have a little over 30" from where I am sitting to the placement of the 27" monitor on the stand. It is now necessary to investigate a good center mount aspect for the Warthog stick due to the size and placement of the side stands outside of my chair arms.
