Hello, I did browse forum for "reinstall" and "migration" threads, and even posts containing "registry", but didn;t find what I was looking for.

Does CloD make registry entry? I'll have to install steam I know, but can I simply migrate the CloD folder hierarchy from one hard drive to another (like most other sims...)?

Thanks for any replies!

Judging by feedback, I think I'll wait before install this latest alpha patch...

CloD will install to your default Steam installation folder (you get asked where you want to put it the first time you install Steam). It's usually something like this:

DRIVE:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common

You can't within Steam move games from drive to drive but you can use utilities to set up 'links' if you want some on one drive (say a SSD) and the rest on another. Here's one:

Once you move the files the game will work the same, including the registry keys etc. If you install Steam in another location and either reinstall from the web or DVD files then it will run the installers again to set up the new paths.

Thanks FF, I somehow knew steam wasn't going to make it easy...
