He's left-coast night shift time like me so I'll make sure I leave a light on and rattle a tin of beer to attract him back.

wheelsup_cavu is the wheels I meant. His last post in the "What Are You Listening to Now" topic was April 22. There's hardly a week that goes by that he hasn'r posted in there. He usually has a helpful tip somewhere in these forums, and I haven't seen him in a while. Just curious that he's OKAY.

Thaks Maj, and Coot. Just seems funny that he dropped off the face of Sim HQ. I'm sure all's fine - just wondering.

Hi again. I spent most of last week working at Planes of Fame helping set up for the airshow and then I spent the weekend working the airshow. Not sure if it was too much sun last week but I ended up being sick as heck this week so I haven't been doing much of anything except sleeping. Wheels

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh..... There you are. It's funny. I just came on to SiM HQ's community hall and noticed all these old topics on the first page. I thought there was something amiss with the server or my internet cache files. Then it dawned on me. wheels is catching up with his missed topics. LOL
How was the air show? I'm debating about traveling down to the MAAM show in June. The last one I went to was 116 degrees on the tarmacs. It really affected the enjoyment of the day, so I want to go back - maybe even spend a few days.

It really affected the enjoyment of the day, so I want to go back - maybe even spend a few days. I was only 9 pages and 222 threads behind... I didn't see much of the airshow since I was on gate duty at the food court making sure no one snuck into the airshow. Luckily it was only in the mid 80's both days so the heat wasn't terrible like in 2009 or 2010 when it was 130+ on the hot ramp. Wheels

136??!!? Did they have a ladle to spoon you back into your car? That's crazy. We're no where used to something like that up here in MA. Was it a dry heat? I hear that makes a difference. LOL

LOL The air conditioner in the car got a major workout on the way home from that airshow. One of the reasons I didn't put a thermometer in my business was during the summer it regularly got over 100 degrees outside and it had to be in the 120's and possibly the 130's inside the shop with all the machines running. Our business was located in a small warehouse with no heating or air conditioning so the summers could get pretty rough. The heat the machines generated generally made the winters more tolerable. I used to work dry cleaning in my younger days. The heat thrown off by the irons and presses, made A/C useless so the owners never installed it. Summers were tough, but we'd only get 100 degrees for short burts of time. A heat wave around here is several days in the mid 90s. We typically get a good run of those days and maybe hit 100 only a few days out of the whole summer. I'm only 2 miles from the ocean so that helps.
