Nice to see you guys keeping it civil.

As for me - a couple minor glitches have been fixed (and it appears more stable), but I'm getting stutters for the first time (likely as a result of the unoptimised trees)!

I tried turning off trees last night and in stopped that landscape 'rubber banding' effect, and without the tree shimmer as well. I think I'll leave them off until they're fixed.

I just rolled back from the alpha patch, double imaging of text in the FMB was a deal-breaker...

So it appears that speedtree is the source of it then.

Yea annoying...I found that by lowering my resolution to 1440x900 120HZ, the doubling is gone. As a plus the game video seems very stable, and I am enjoying it much more than from the pre patch.

Maybe, but then again maybe its just *related* to the cause. Remember the sound bug that could be stopped by turning off trees! That seems so very long ago. I think the problem with this game is down to the principle of modularity. I think the idea of a modular game engine is a great one, but I think they're implementation of modularity is the real problem in this game.
i.e. the way the different modules, sound, graphics, net code etc *talk* to each other rather than any individual module in itself. On the other hand Maybe its just the damn trees!

Interesting thought about the modularity causing some of the stutter problems. That's exactly why I prefer buying the best single gpu I can rather than using SLI, that could give you better frames, but sometimes at the cost of stutters, unless its highly optimized.
