In real life the allied aircraft didn't have toe-breaks (I think, I didn't fly them wink ).

The control issue is that normally the main control yoke would have a handle to squeeze to activate the differential brakes, but that's been modelled in CloD as the use of the main brake key and the rudder control. As Senseispcc mentions above, it's compounded by the fact that the order of the 'press brake', 'move rudder' is important. You can tell if it's working as there is a cockpit brake pressure gauge (left/right) that you can see changing once you've got the 'mode' right..

Oh ok I think I got it now. You need to just use the wheel break key and rudders, not left or right breaks. Thanks for clearing that up, bout to go try it out. Now if I could just learn to navigate lol

My character somehow got all twisted up. I was playing the mission where you have to infiltrate the Golden Glow Estate and do multiple things. When I was out burning beehives and fighting I just eventually ran away to view my success from a distance. I first noticed it when I squated down on a tree trunk. Coot..the squatter../simHQ/2011

I think where folks sometimes have problems with Cliffs of Dover is that they think the controls are universal between the different aircraft types. The brake/steering methods are a prime example. How often do we see someone ask for advice on operating controls but never mention the aircraft they're trying to fly? It's likely they believe that what works for one aircraft in CoD should work for 'em all.

Vive la difference! biggrin
