Can someone please tell me how to turn the Spit and Hurri while taxiing after landing. Have a button set for all breaks which works fine, but rudder alone does not do well for trying to get somewhere on the ground. Put in autopilot while landing and it taxis right to the hanger and parks inside. So I know it is possible. Thanks,
BadBud

Usually? a burst of power (but not too much), forward elevator (again not too much - to take the weight off the tail only, but not to strike the prop) and a BIG bootful of rudder..

Have done the throttle thing with a little success, but not what I would like. Will try the forward elevator.
Thanks,

Differential brakes, but it depends on the kite. The Brits used a system where you depress the main brake binding and use the rudder (with main stick deflection back) to direct the left/right braking, while the Axis use two separate left/right button bindings for the toe-brakes in CloD.

I am still in the process of figuring this out myself. I can turn with rudders, but not very sharply or controlled it seems like... and I don't have toe breaks on my rudders so I've set buttons in the controls for left and right wheel break, but it seems they don't work when in-game. I tried to use buttons on my HOTAS and on the keyboard both with the same non-effect. I press the button/key and my plane will still keep rolling straight as if nothing is being pressed. Anyone have any ideas?

I find the best way to get tight turns is to give it just enough throttle to get it moving, apply brakes (I have my brake button set to apply both brakes) and full rudder, can almost turn on the spot at times although I do find occasionaly the rudder doesnt seem to do much, seeks a bit hit and miss.

*edit* thats for the Spit

As said in the message just above yours smile the Allied planes don't use the left/right toe brakes key binding but the single brake and rudder. They still have differentiial brakes, it's just the control setup is not the same as the Axis aircraft in-game.

In game it is hard to master but for the British planes it is on/off brakes and rudder direction so you must add power but not to much so you do not end with your nose in the ground and at the same time direct the plane. Trimming the plane tail havy helps. Never apply brakes when your speed is over 10Mph. To turn your aircraft stop completely then aply brakes and ruuder then add power until the plane turns.

I've watched real Spits, Hurris and 109's (Bouchons) taxiing and parking up at airshows and they seem to have far more control and on the ground than we have in the game and I would say less so than in IL2. In CoD it feels like you have a turning circle something equivelent to the Queen Mary !

Toe breaks work in IL-2 for the Spit and Hurri which makes taxiing and parking a breeze.
Thanks for the suggestions,
