I tried turning off trees last night and it stopped that landscape 'rubber banding' effect, and without the tree shimmer as well. I think I'll leave them off until they're fixed.
So it appears that speedtree is the source of it then.
Maybe, but then again maybe its just *related* to the cause. Remember the sound bug that could be stopped by turning off trees! That seems so very long ago. I think the problem with this game is down to the principle of modularity. I think the idea of a modular game engine is a great one, but I think they're implementation of modularity is the real problem in this game.
i.e. the way the different modules, sound, graphics, net code etc *talk* to each other rather than any individual module in itself. On the other hand Maybe its just the damn trees!
Boko.
