There's a reason I never play BoB2 despite all the goodies. I can't takeoff and land the planes properly! It seems like the torque effect is too much for me and my Logitech Extreme 3D Pro to handle. After applying takeoff power, I apply rudder input to counter the torque. This drops a wing that I counter with aileron input. The wing levels again, but I need to adjust rudder input accordingly, which drops the a wing again and the cycle goes on and on until the little plane goes out of control.
Is this the way you guys do your takeoffs and landings all this time? How could you do a formation takeoff/landing with that kind of FM? Just an opinion, but if this is realistic, then il-2, CFS3, and all MS FS single engine payware addons are child's toys!
Any opinion or suggestion on techniques on this guys? Thanks.

Sounds more like joystick calibration than FM problem, to be honest. I don't experience the same dramatic torque issues...torque requiring a foot on the rudder at takeoff yes, but not as you describe.

You are appling the power too fast. Take you time and apply the power "very" slowly. You have tons of runway to work with. This will slow everything down so you can smoothly take off.

Practice with the Hurri until good then move on to other A/C.

Well you could say they are smile

As Buddye says, you have to apply power very gradually until the airflow starts and things lighten up. Do it very slowly and 'feel' the aircraft. It's easier in the Hurricane. As an experienced BoBII simmer you can accelerate rapidly even in a Spit but you will be naturally (and subconsciously) dancing across ailerons and rudder as the speed increases- something you absolutely will not do initially. There's a reason it took 15 hours practice before you were even allowed near a 1000HP monster.

Landing is equally brutal unless you do it properly. Don't even attempt it above 70-75mph. If you can't fly at that speed it's not the aircraft's fault- you have not worked flaps, trim and prop pitch properly.

Of course you could try a 'sim' where these things don't matter. But then they do in the real thing.

Easing up on the rudder stops it from dropping a wing on takeoff, if you're dropping a wing then you have enough airflow to be lifting the tail so be more gentle with the throttle and use your elevator trim, the quicker you get the tail up the easier she is to handle.
