I like the atmosphere that's been included. However, I keep getting told I have "fresh mail" but I never see any mail, beyond that notification. Also, in the newspaper photo I can read news about California Governor Arnold Schwarzennegger. Maybe it's one of Jean Dixon's first columns...

The interface definately needs to be made a bit (i.e. alot) more immersive and accessible . . . i.e. it should feel and look like something that existed in 1917 (and be able to transfer quicker and more smoothly between menu screens).

Interface is very well done imo, and i don't think an old looking would add something.
Many sims were made the "old way", ROF is showing a nice new modern looking!
But i agree, smoothness could be a lot better...

When will they finish it, so that it isn't a beta? It's only been 3 years.

Hardly, the beta career is no where near 3 years old.

Since I've done so many squadron bios, the main format you want for the biography is to have an initial section that details the unit's WWI history. Depending on the unit and the info available, this may be long or short.

After the WWI section, create a title called "Post-WWI History" and then continue the unit's history below that. This typically covers the inter-war years, WWII, and the post-WWII years. This section can also be long or short, again depending on the unit. Some of these units disbanded and haven't been around since the 70s or 80s, while others are still active today.

If you need some guidance, look at these unit histories I've done:

-Schusta 21
-11 Squadron
-48 Squadron
-59 Squadron
-All the playable RE8 units
-27th Aero Squadron

Yep I know, but still the developers have spent effort in this nobleman thing, that better could spend to something else, not my taste, I would leave that blank to fill in the pilot story by your self, to make it more personal.
