Uninstall Patch?

Hey guys, I just have a quick question. I installed all the patches up to 1.1.1.1, and I'm having issues, so I'm trying to roll back to my original version. How do I uninstall the patches? Thanks, guys!!

Do yourself a favor: uninstall everything, and download DCS A-10 1.1.1.1 full version from the DCS website. You'll avoid a lot of issues. If you bought the DVD version...well, welcome to the digital age.

Just to clarify... you are probably having "issues" because you "patched" your vanilla game up to 1.1.1.1. We recommend uninstalling everything, and installing straight from a 1.1.1.1 FULL INSTALL installer.

So you are recommending that if you have the CD...chuck it....go to DCS website and download te full game and patch to 1.1.1.1.1?
Is this what you are saying??

No need to chuck the CD, but yes, download the full game 1.1.1.1.

FYI jack,
A new version is about to be released. In fact, I was just logging on to see if had been.
I do not have a date, but we were just made privy to the change list. The current version, v.1.1.1.1, is 4.6 GB so on a slow connect it can take a while to download.

Your code will work just fine.
Regardless if you buy direct from DCS, from Steam or in the box, the code will work. You can buy it from Steam or in the box and download the latest version from DCS and you will be OK.
Plus, you have some 10 activations for your code. Reinstalling on the same system, even onto another drive, won't take up an activation, IME. And if you do use all of your activations you can contact DCS with your situation to get more.

That's exactly what I did. I patched a the vanilla up to 4.1.1.1. I'm so used to the IL2 format, where you can just patch versions on top of each other. I'm going back and trying to download the full 1.1.1.1 installer now. I'll report back in a bit. Thanks, guys!!

It is possible to apply each patch incrementally, but back in beta, that was prone to break something so to be 100% sure, it was recommended to download the FULL INSTALL and install from there. There are a few people who have applied 2 or 3 patches over their first install and have reported no problems, so that situation does exist, but for those with problems with the game, the first recommendation is usually a clean install from the full installer rather than a "potentially" broken install due to a patch going wrong somewhere. Jack, as WC said, your code will work no matter where you bought it from and you have 10 activations, which is very generous of ED. The biggest drawback IMHO is having to download so much data... but as I use the torrent to download, I just leave it on when I am surfing the internet and in an afternoon (or two, or three), I have a good copy fully downloaded.

It's funny- they give you that many "credits" but won't let you play on your own server. Sigh.
