In I walked into my local Memory Express in Edmonton on Sunday. I remember asking the nice sales person if they had a GTX680, fool well knowing what the answer would be. Well, when he said yes, and MSI one and the last in stock, my mind went blank.

Next thing I know, he says "Have a good day sir!" and I look down, and I am holding a receipt in my left hand and my new MSI GTX680 in my right!

Then, came the three hour drive back to Cold Lake, where I live. frown

Yesterday, I had some trouble installing the card, in that it is much longer than my HD 5770 and I had to move my hard drive to an upper bay to accomodate the card.

I seemed to have borked the monitor in the process as there were green and pink lines on it, but determined it wasn't the card by connecting a second monitor to test it out. By reversing the DVI cable, the monitor is now working again. Not sure what happened to cause the lines?

Will post benchies when I can

Don

I'd guess a break in one of the ends of the cable. Reversing the connection changed the forces on the cable, pushing the severed cable cores together again. I think you might see the lines again, if you (gently) moved the cable around a bit.

In CLOD with setting to High and SSAO selected, I got around 75-80fps in the free flight missions, execept London where I got around 40-45

In DCS Warthog I averaged around 60 with all settings to High. This was flying the sitting ducks mission

In DCS Blackshark2, I got around 25-30, settings on High, free flight mission.

ROF, settings to High and all graphics options selected except SLI I got 60+

FSX was the the slowest, around 25fps with REX 2.0 running

Metro 2033 benchmark ran three times I got an avg of 28fps

Congrats on the new card CaptCanada looks like you are getting good performance.

For FSX with your hardware combo I recommend the following tweaks on AVSIM:

Nvidia and NV Inspector settings:
http://forum.avsim.net/topic/369500-adaptive-vsync-30fps-new-levels-of-smoothness-in-fs9x/

And for me I also had to tweak my FSX.CFG per this (the above tweak didn't work with my venotubo autotweaked fsx.cfg):
