LOL! I used to do something similar all the time. It's just a gimmick, though.

There is a certain size of cloud, based on weather conditions, that will simply disappear, while other, larger, clouds will hold together.

So I used to pick one of the "undersized" clouds, and claim I could make it disappear! I used the more somber "evil stare", however, rather than the somewhat silly "repeat the same phrase in a rather ponderous voice" method.
