Haha Skate, just remember to call them and lift the lock on our XBL account if you need to add points to buy the pack... I had forgotten about the fraud lock I left on my account and when I went to buy Trials Evo HD I kept getting some error redeeming a points card, eventually I figured out I had to call them to lift the lock

Supposedly They did that already. I was able to use the redeem codes from the support email.
I might be playing FM4 this weekend, since my PC is crippled.

It's odd they don't have that diesel Jag Clarkson took on the 'ring in the game. I was looking for that yesterday thinking it would be fun to try to get to the 10 min mark with it. I saw a panel van, but not sure it's the same as the one Sabine drove.

Would still be nice to hear about more real-world tracks coming. It's not like they haven't all been scanned by someone or other out there. No excuse for having pretty much the same track list as the previous 3 games. Race Pro had a better selection, so there's no excuse.

Ah cool did not know there would be a VIP discount! I guess since they sold all the other VIP cars as a DLC they might as well have some benefit left for those of us (suckers) who forked out money for the supposed Limited Collector's Edition (tm)
Looking forward to checking this out tomorrow and I still have $8Mil credits to go on a Porschephile shopping spree, hopefully that will be enough for a couple of my favorites
really don't bother me... I enjoy FM4... and do some racing and occasional MP... but iRacing has pretty much ruined me for most other race games, especially console games.

Yeah for me FM4 and GT5 are not where I do my racing, iRacing is tops for that for me too.
Mainly FM4/GT5 is for my dream car collection and trackday lapping in my dream cars I collected in my garage, sometimes it is also fun to go online in a cool but moderate car and beat people running on Nordchleife with their uber tuned cars...
I don't even mess with tuning unless I am trying to reproduce some model that they don't have, the stock models are what I normally drive.
I have really liked the FM4 Rivals mode, it is pretty fun to hotlap and try to beat your friends times and then the leaderboards.
If you stick with the rookie series or one of the lower racing classes for a few seasons then it isn't too expensive as they try to limit the cost by not using many non-free tracks in those series, but the laser scanned content and the racing is so good that most of us end up buying even tracks and cars we don't plan to race on for the next season.
Bringing it back on topic somewhat, no Porsches in iRacing for now, but they are supposed to be getting a RUF RT12 next year, looking forward to that too but for now FM4 Porsches will be very fun for sure.
and seriously... I actually kind of regret it now, but iRacing ruins every other racing game, especially on console... at least for me, and addicting.

Yeah iRacing pretty much ruined rFactor1, Race07, FM3 and GTR2 for me, I could never much go back to the FFB/physics in those games and enjoy it, but the more modern sims/games like rF2, GT5(w/G27 wheel), FM4 (w/Fanatec) have decent enough physics and FFB that I enjoy it in a believable way even though it doesn't quite live up to what I feel in iRacing (and nKpro).
One big thing iRacing *doesn't* have is racing with multiple car models in the same class, it now has multi-class racing, but everyone in the same class is driving the same model car, which is a bit boring compared to some of the variety of cars that we can race fairly evenly in FM4.

Very dissapointed, I'd saved up lots of Microsoft points in anticipation of this pack but its the same car list from FM3 and as previously commented, a lord of 911 variants and re-skins.
No sign of the legendary 917 or 935, I'm saving my points for the upcoming Birds of Steel dlc.
GL getting it in game... same error code like every month, they still haven't learned... but available outside of game on XBL.

Hehe agreed, at least the drifting is not forced on you as badly as Shift2 did where it was part of the career but then had a wholy separate terrible drifting physics model

OT: with iRacing's fantastic vehicle modelling... i wonder if those vehicles can be tuned and drifted.

well its 1200 w/ VIP status,
had a hard time so far,
booted Xbox, entered my scrambled character code to login to live
put FM4 disc in, hit play,
kept getting "Unable to start this game, please re-download the title" or some bs message.
put in a different game, booted no problem,
so i move the Xbox from the down stairs room to the room to hook to my PC, booted it up, left it signed out of live, put in FM4 booted it, then signed in, then chose my profile.
took about 10 tries to get to the marketplace too. and this is by far the slowest 330 mb download I've had to sit through.
meanwhile i keep getting invites from people to play.
Wow really enjoying the 959, well done cockpit with the functioning boost gauge and everything, the handling feels pretty darn good too, even the Panamera is fun to drive, was just having a blast running that Rivals Nords race, pretty nice sounding exhaust and beefy power, heel-toeing my way through the sweeper turns on this is very fun.
Consider me a happy guy with this DLC pack, and I even saw they have the 944Turbo there which I look forward to checking out.
I think the results depend on the encoding, when I've used Windows Live Movie Maker 720p then Youtube would make it look like crap, but one of the Sony Vegas encoding schemes I tried looks pretty good.
Their streaming at 1080p sucks. I usually que things up and watch them on our sony google tv in the bedroom though. Could have to do with too little memory or something. 720p usually works well and looks fine though. Weekend nights can be rough.

For the most part, the Porsche's handle and feel better with the simulation steering and new engines.
i had to do some adjusting, but after 6 or so laps i had it down better, the video above was like lap 4.
there were a few turns where i started turning in early anticipating some under steer on the odd banking, to my surprise, no under steer at all so I had to correct/adjust to avoid hitting the inner rumble strip, which in the Porsche is not so forgiving. I rubbed the rumble strip a lil around 1:29ish, and it almost put the car in a spin, good thing Im very proficient at recovering from lost traction.
