Hi Hpasp, could you please explain capabilities of Vega on how to attack jamming targets? In the manual there is shortly described only one method.
I have downloaded all original Vega manuals, but my Russian is not so good, I can read but it takes quite a time to understand (even if the Czech is quite close to it) and with two small children you never have enough time.

And what:
- is the switch left to GSN/KRO display? I think it is some mode of display (X/Y) since it has descriptions like beta, z, beta/z and so. I think someone before asked something about Lissajous figures (I dnot't even know if it was regarding Vega, but it might be).
- is the switch left to AS3 vykl. button? It has description of rabota po v. Is it something what Plamya should do after last missile exploded? Automatically acquire different target, stop tracking and so?

I will ask later for more :-)

Hi, can I join here, if you don't mind?

About "Rabota po V" - this is some modes for tracking in V (velocity). As I believe those are modes of missiles GSN (golovka samonavedenia). They are used mainly against more advanced jamming than active noise jamming.

Hi, of course I don't mind, the more information the better :-)

Maybe I would vote for a god mode, to test such advanced techniques against "real" targets.

And another question about two screens: what is the purpose of the screen above GSN/KRO display and above speed/range tracking display?

You got me... wink Don't have a clue... I believe it is about GSN too. As I know, there is an operator only for the missile GSN, and those screens maybe are like VIKO from P-14: it showed in fire cabin information about GSN receiving signal...

Don't know too - the one above GSN/KRO display shows three blinking dots on the line when the target is not tracked. When it is being tracked it shows a circle

Does somebody have a technical description of a K9 and K2? I've got only K1 and K3.

The primary purpose of the Vega system, (beside frightening the Habu away) is to kill standoff jammers.
It can cope several types of jamming, but they are not depicted in the sim.

When you set the "jamming mode on" white switch above this mode selector, you would need to select the correct jamming type with this four state selector.

In the sim, only noise jamming is simulated, where the AC VIKIL setting is the default.

"AVTO PEREZAHVAT" is against modulated noise jamming, while "POLOCA SIR" is against Velocity Gate Pulloff.

They are the most important two smile
They display what your missile's GSN receives, in dB.
(epsilon - summa - beta)

At the GSN/KRO display you can see noise vs signal ratio only.

As the Target Tracking Officer has no (summa) dB measuring instrument, he can read the value from the scope.

nope

There are operators in the K2, K3, and at the K9 cabin.

K2 is fully simulated.

K3 is similar to the Volhov's OP panel, they are just operating the ZM's.
They also see all the GSN displays at the same time.

The K9 battery control post is just commanding the firing channels, what target to track.
