Hi everyone, I'm new to the ARMA series as I've just installed ARMA II. I just started my first campaign however it looks like there are colored "dots" on most of the units. It seems like it is a friend or foe sort of thing and it makes the game completely unplayable. Looked thru the menus to see if I can turn it off but no luck.

Does anyone know what this is all about and how to turn it off???

Thanks
TGF

It's to simulate peripheral vision in the game so if units are just out of view you can still locate them; and yes they are annoying. For some reason you can't turn them completely off IIRC; you can only make it so they don't display friend/foe colors

However there are mods that will completely remove them if you wish: http://community.bistudio.com/wiki/PROPER:Mod#PROPER_UI_No_PeripheralVision

Just save the .pbo file to your Arma 2\Addons and you should be g2g
