Moon shot last night were a real letdown here in Edgewood, about fifty miles east of Dallas. It was hazy and just got worse as the night went on. I shot the night shots at ISO 50, manual everything on a tripod. A77 with 200-500 Tamron. The haze hopefully will let up tonight since it's supposed to be big tonight too.

Nice efforts. Alot of thin cloud here at best in the UK last night so I didn't bother trying. Although I always find a full moon one of the hardest phases to shoot, the sheer brightness (which is also increased significantly for a perigee moon) always makes getting decent contrast on the details harder. About a 1/3-1/2 moon phase is where its at for me.
