Two eyefinity related questions

Just setup 3 24" benq 120hz monitors, so I string eyefinity for the first time. Most of it has been pretty intuitive, save for these two things:
1). So I have set my eyefinity group of 3 24" 1920x1080 monitors. No matter how many different times I instruct CCC to set my Windows taskbar in the center screen, it remains on the left most screen. in the Position Windows Taskbar screen, the blue arrow is clearly just on the center screen, but it never moves there. Ugh. Anyone hel me out here?
2) As I mentioned, the Benq XL2420t monitors are 120hz. I just set three of these up tonight, using two AMD 6970 cards. I have two plugged in via dual link dvi and one via a Displayport cable, with a minidisplay port cable adapter attaching it to the minidisplay port on the 6970 (no full size display ports on these cards). I am able to select a resolution of 5760x1080 but I can on,y select a refresh rate of 60hz. When I have a single monitor plugged in I can select the refresh rate of 120hz. I have all monitors plugged into one of the 6970s because from what I understand all monitors must be plugged into a single card when using AMD Eyefinity (indeed, when I plugged one monitor into the 2nd 6970 it wasn't recognized---am I correct that in eyefinity all monitors have to go through a single card?)
In CCC, When I do select 120hz as the refresh rate it downgrades my eyefinity resolution from 5760x1080 to 2397x600 (bezel compensated). The refresh rates of 75hz and 120hz are in italics, indicating that my current resolution of 5760x1080 doesn't support that. This doesn't seem correct...why wouldn't I be able to run that res at 120hz?
Does anyone have any ideas why this is--I thout it might be possible that a minidisplayport cable cannot do 120hz but from what I have read that's not the case- minidisplay port can handle 120hz.
Thanks

Eyefinity is "one large desktop" and the taskbar stretches from left to right across it.
To get 3 displays with one as the "primary" display with the task bar and gadgets (other two displays blank -- except when you drag windows to them), go to CCC Desktop Management. By right clicking on the display pictures, you can "extend" a given display or make it "primary". You can use the picture of 3 displays to drag the monitors to arrange them so the cursor arrow moves continuously across them. Basically, its easy. But, one has to try and fail a few times to figure out how it is working.
One can then name the display setup as a "preset". I have four presets, for example. They are Eyefinity, Extended desktop with center monitor primary (what you seem to be asking about), single center monitor, single left monitor. In the future, just go to CCC or to the lower right corner of the taskbar (where there is a menu of presets that comes up by right clicking on the CCC icon), and "click" the display pattern preset to get what you want. You can also tie the setup to a given application or game I believe -- but, I've never tried it.
While I have a 120Hz 3D monitor (on a different computer), I've never tried it with Crossfire (only have one monitor of that type). So, can't be helpful.

i think the AMD chart shows at 5760x1080 that the max refresh rate is 60Hz... but im not sure. it blocked out he 75Hz option for my screens as well.

Thanks guys. I think the 6970 cards might have a single and a dual link DVI port, with the single obviously not supporting 120hz. I guess the solution is to use both mini display ports.
Though I could use the other dual link DVI port on the 2nd 6970 if eyefinity will allow that, which I think it will not?

Single Link DVI has a Max DOT Clock of 165Hz,
so 1920x1080x60=124Hz, Good
But, 1920x1080x120=248Hz, Requires Dual-Link.

FWIW,
I was running 1 miniDP -> DVI Dual Link, 1 HDMI -> DVI Dual Link, and DVI Dual Link Native, and my 75Hz screens were limited to 60Hz, and was not allowed to change them in Eyefinity mode.

That might be because Of HDMII, which might not support more than 60hz a(I know HDMI can't support 120hz)

That might be because Of HDMII, which might not support more than 60hz a(I know HDMI can't support 120hz) 3D HDMI is 120Hz isnt it? If i could get a splitter for my Display Port, I'd Split the DisplayPort into 2 Screens on 1, and 1 screen on another. I'd have to use another DP->DVI adapter, but hey, at least all the screens will be using the SAME display Clock instead of 2. I know they exist, i just cant find them, DisplayPort1.2 Hub should be able to hook to 1 displayport and drive up to 4 displays.
