How can they do that when these companies have international customers and doing what they want would break privacy laws in other countries besides the USA?
Since when does the US government ever care about foreign laws.
Rubbish bashing of the USA.
These are US firms operating in the USA. Full stop.
Would you be as outraged if the German government stopped the hosting of a neo-Nazi site on a German ISP just because the guy that put up the site is in the USA?
Or if I went to the UK and said I wasn't subject to VAT because I'm a US citizen and we don't have that here?
If you want to plot terrorist attacks against the USA I guess you'll just have to stick to businesses that aren't actually in the USA.
Sorry for the inconvenience, but we don't like having our citizens murdered. I know this is offensive to many that think they have the right to do so and feel that it is a violation of their privacy rights to be unable to plan terrorist attacks and set up criminal enterprises but we really feel strongly about this and simply won't compromise.
But please, feel free to criticize our use of national sovereignty within our own borders. It makes you look cool and smart.
