Pretty impressive improvement on my end. I was getting pretty decent framerates before, but now I'd call the framerate perfect (for the most part). It's a very significant step in the right direction..
Clouds still make a much bigger framerate hit than it seems they should. Didn't measure, but it's probably pegged at the refresh rate all the time on max details except when I look at a cloud, and then there is a sharp and very noticeable dip. Much better than it was, but compared to the better looking, much better performing, clouds in ROF, they got a ways to go. Smoke/Vapor effects in general seem to be a hog (chopping the throttle on the Merlin causing it to belch smoke dropped the frame rate easily to single digits).
The Spitfire certainly doesn't take off like it used to. Crashed my first two attempts (first time because, apparently, the wheel brakes are on by default when you start now?), second time because the part where I normally point the nose up 30 degrees and bank gracefully into a wide sweeping turn, I stalled and banked gracelessly into the ground.

Edit: Check that, I was playing an old game yesterday and forgot I had transparency antialiasing cranked up in the nVidia control panel, which is something I normally leave disabled for modern games because it's such a performance hog. So I was probably seeing less than optimal performance.
