IMDB doesn't list things like commercials, stage, and lots of indie stuff. Just because they weren't involved in big TV or film projects doesn't mean they're not obligated to do other things. Especially as the film was made 2.5 yrs after the show was cancelled, they could hardly wait around on it.

I'd say of all the former cast members of Firefly, Nathan Fillion seems to be the busiest and the most in the public eye right now. I don't know what Morena Baccarin has been doing since "V" was cancelled.
