During the morning (9:20), 15th of April, HABU codenamed "Tromp-30" first buzzed Benghazi (from North to South), than made an evasive turn to avoid the destruction zone of the S-200VE located at Sirte, and buzzed Tripoli (East to West) at h=75'000ft, achieving Mach 3.15.

Three Volhov missiles were launched from the 4th battery of the 1st SAM Brigade.
All missed...

Wow, nice site, it has so much detail in it, where exactly is the information that has to deal with operating the system?

Here, destruction zone of S-75M;-M2;-M3 in T/T mode... Clearly no chance against jamming SR-71 in T/T (probably I-87TT, too) modes:
Click to reveal..

The whole document - here:
срв&#1...p;#1052;3..djvu

page 129-130:
"Rabota ot VM" + "TT-I87" - can be switched and have efect after missile launch screwy

page 181:
">18 km" mode - as I understand, on M3 variant it should be switching itself automaticly, if the switch is off, depending of the target's altitude, 10 sec. before impact. When ON - only narrow guidance is used... ALSO confirmation that M2 and M3 variants CAN launch diferent types of missiles in one salvo (V-755 must be first due to it's higher speed)!!!

page 184:
APP-75 could be fine tuned, depending of the missile type (not simulated, but still good to know).

page 186:
Description of the algorytm of "SL-I", "SL-2" switch, it is different for 5Ya23 against older types....

confused

Before the launch, the launcher is telling the missile (over the OS-10 plug), what to do during flight in case you receive K3 command.

When you set "Rabota ot VM", the missile will arm its radio proxy fuse after launch, and does not take care about K3 at all.
(this was originally developed for the case, when the enemy is continuously emitting K3 signals as jamming)

When you set "TT-I87", the missile will arm its radio proxy fuse after K3 received.
(difference to the normal settings is the distance from the range boresight, when the K3 is emitted)

This is why it is not simulated.
(The base of the sim is a S-75M3-OP Volhov, just missing the SDC per plane upgrade)

hahaha
Might be, but in Hungary, the APP always showed the 20DSU parameters, and FCO's had to learn, to reduce the further destruction zone in case of V-759 used.
(SAM batteries west of the Danube)

I know, that the Czech Air Defense used mixed V-755/-759 with the same SAM unit, but I do not know, how they differentiated between missile types.
(first salvo V-759, second salvo V-755???)

I will try to translate what was written about later, if you are interested, but what I understand is that switchig "Rab ot VM" in "TT-i87" before or after 22 second of missile flight, activated diferent antena pairs of radiofuse (due to missing data for missile-target approach speed)... (I was just going to ask should we see a speed on the round instrument on "Q" screen in T/TI-87 mode, and this thing poped-up...)
wink
