The campaign is not so different from the Demo, a third person Tactical shooter.
The ballistic seems to be close to a realistic one, yet i never shot those rifles, and unfortunatly, there are no iron sights for the side arms and sub-machine guns, which is difficult if you want to shoot close to a ledge. Some maps are big and some others are not but this is no Arma.
What caught my eye is that there are a Coop MP, a MP team vs. team and a Deathmatch and other combinations in MP's.
The Multi Players games are not fast pace. It is a sniper game. A lot of crawling, sometimes sprinting in a door frame, and camping spent observing, listening, then a slug comes out of nowhere spiraling toward your forehead, and you respawn in 3 seconds.
The game has its own VOIP system and you can hear all the tough guys/players telling pedestrian stories and making stupid comments which hinder your capability of listening properly to sounds of the game. Moreover, there are no possibilities to disengage that VoIP system.
And that part wasted the entire experience for me.
It is not an easy game in which u can spray from the hip and pray to hit someone at 25 yards. The environment of Berlin in ruins is somehow unique. It could certainly be an interesting and unordinary Tactical shooter with the right crowd as this is the antithesis to BF3.

I've got the 360 version, so no MP, but so far I'm very impressed. If only the Clancy games were more like this. Much more open than most games these days, and far more stealth game than a shooter--as a sniper game should be. It's not like Sniper Ghost Warrior, an unrelated sniper game. Nice tension in the missions trying to sneak and avoid shoot outs (which you'll likely lose). As much as I would love iron sights for the pistol and SMG, I have no doubt that was a gameplay decision to keep this a stealth/sniper game rather than just another shooter. Love the sneak-up-snap-neck ability, and unlike the last Splinter Cell, you CAN pick up and hide bodies to avoid alerting the patrolling guards. At the V-2 rocket facility, holding rifle fire until you have cover noise to hide the shot is a nice detail too. After the tension of stealth capable areas, the game lightens up with some cover based shoot outs to break it up some. Nicely balanced game in that respect so far. I'll be rebuying this on pc when it's on sale to give MP a shot. The pc demo looked better, but the 360 version is still a nice looking game.

The 360 version has MP and co-op.... and just FYI the PC version too, but unless you have friends to play with...good luck finding tactical or non-action servers... I tried a few, only a few online... with little luck.
I like the game alot... got it on PC and 360... but iron sights are missed, and I don't like that if it's not one of those special kill shots, one head shot won't kill... shot a guy in the head 3 times before he went down just because it was a normal shot, not a special shot... same with close quarters weapons, multiple shots in the gut and head and they recover to come after you... but moor #%&*$# in a otherwise great game... environment is fantastic.

The 360 version has MP and co-op.... Mine only came with co-op for 2 people. You could call it competitive due to one being like a horde mode but with only 2 people, it doesn't fit my idea of "multi"player. The pc version comes with traditional MP. 505 published the console version (remember BOP--no patch on 360) so I'd imagine adding MP would've just added more chance for issues that 505 wouldn't pay to have addressed in a patch. The pc version is self-published by Rebellion, so I bet it gets support attention, and therefore was MP added.

What I really did not like in that game is the complaisant camera (X-Ray shots) following that bullet ripping through flesh and breaking or blowing up organs in slow motion. I found that unrealistic because one does not see that in real life in slow motion as it is happening to one's target, and if one sees it happening in a flash to the closest guy, it will influence one's personal life experience until its end, aka PTSD!...
The positive side of it is that you can decrease the setting of those X-Ray shots or increase it, and may be in a weird way would it change someones view about violence associated with firearms?....It might also be a double edge sword!
What do you think or what do you feel?

thought it was cool at first, but getting tired of it... I don't care what others think, but don't like how it disturbs the mission...
BTW: OT... the Hitler DLC, how the hell do you take out the tank, shooting it in the fuel tank ain't working this time?

You've got to hit the gas cap to ignite it.
I don't mind the Xray thing, it doesn't come up that often. You don't see things in bullet-time either. However, I'm sure seeing that is far less disturbing that what a real sniper sees that a bullet can do to a body. This thing doesn't even show limbs and heads coming off or disappearing, or even much of the mess of an exit wound.

Thank you Magnum. I had not explored the extras yet. I actually got to play several TD's with the right crowd and this is a real good game. I also got to play with a dedicated spotter and this game is intense on teamwork. It needs more maps and it is a lot of fun! I finally shot the Fuhrer but I did not shot the deputy!

I'm loving this game but some things are getting pretty fustrating... IE: the current mission I'm on has you saving a scientist, once you have and meet up with him (keeping the details low for a reason); you have to defend your ground for a while... i set out trip wire in 3 entrances on the only path the bad guys can go to get to me...yet they don't trigger them... not the first time either... also laid out a mine on a dead body.... and no effect... it seems to allow those items in certain areas, certain part of the mission... maybe where it's written in... but not randomly.
Also, love the extra missions like the wave of bad guys... but 5 seconds is no time what so ever to set up a defense, should be at least a min or two.
but I do love the basic sniper game... sneak in, get to high ground, take out a target or two and get out... nice stealth, cover, and sound techniques.

Magnum, try the coop with some friends or the MP with hand picked friends and the game takes on an entire different dimension.
On MP all the items works to the point of frustration some times.

Played the demo. Was very disappointed. Odd movement and view controls, weapons are not fun to use nor realistic, and the bullet camera got old the second time. Essentially it is a linear path with no way to set up ambushes or sneak around... just go in guns blazing. And the enemies swarm you in large numbers.
Not tactical, realistic, and does not give you much, if any freedom in how to approach an area.
On the positive side, the graphics look rather good and I can easily getting 50+ frame rates constantly on the 560ti 2GB and AMD 965.

I'll be rebuying this on pc when it's on sale to give MP a shot. Steam's Weekend Deal has 66% off of Sniper Elite V2.

That's odd, it must have been a glitch in the game for you. When I played the 360 version of this level, I put out a mine and 3 trip wires in the hallway, and they all went off with effect.
