If the SF games are DX9 I might pick the latest one up other hopes that I can it across three monitors in PLP mode 1200x1600 on the side monitors and 2560x1600 on the center).

Is anyone doing this and if so, are there any specific settinGs or tweaks needed to the softTH file? And do the ingame menus scale properly?

Thanks.

The original series was DX9 - The SF2 series is DX10 though. Until the latest game came out SF2 did support DX9 still - but TW have dropped DX9 support now by the looks of things - the games are now advertised for Vista/Win 7 only.

I don't know about SoftTH (though I would be interested in finding out), but the March/April 2012 versions of SF2 can reportedly run on a DX9 rig.

According to the information in this thread at Combat Ace , you can even run SF2NA in DX9, so long as you have a merged install, use the "old style" terrain tiles for Iceland, and you run a different EXE than North Atlantic (e.g. StrikeFighters2 Europe.exe).

you should be able to run 3 screens using eyefinity on your setup. (dunno about P-L-P though, as all screen need to be the same res.)

In the same vein, how can I get my WOV and WOE to work in vista. They won't register.

First Gen SF games are not listed as being Vista/7 compatible, so the party line would be to migrate to the SF2 series, which was designed for Vista/7.

The other than party line says that I keep WoV installed on Win7 x64 so that I can test things. As long as you don't install to c:\program files, you should be able to run the game.

You can have WOV WOE work in Windows 7, just install them for instance direct under c:/ and have a complete DX9 version installed. I run WOV on my laptop this way.
