I somehow don't need FC3 anymore... Flying the T again was the only reason I was going to get FC3. Unless I'm missing out something?

I guess I'll have to buy the P-51 to thank ED for their awesomeness smile

Unless they make modules for the Flanker and Fulcrum, I'll happily be plunking down my money (again) for the next installment of Flaming Cliffs. Though I'll be interested to see what else is coming down the pike with DCS World...

Sorry if this question sounds stupid. But what do you mean by "now that we have the SU-25T in FC2"?
Was it not in FC2 from the beginning?
And if not how did you get it now?

I ask because I don't own FC2 but was thinking of buying FC2.

Thanks in advance.

My best regards, Kodiak.

It was in FC2, but it is now (as a flyable plane) in the DCS world (together with DCS A-10C, Black Shark and the (lovley) P-51D.

If it helps Kodiak, what Jens said but here's how I figure it:

- The P51 beta is built around the new concept of 'DCS World' where you get the base sim but then other 'modules' to buy and run on it. The P-51 is a beta of one of these new modules.

- With the base sim you get the flyable SU25T that was previously in FC2 for free. It's on the DCS platform but it's a non-clickable cockpit but still features its advance flight model (compared to other FC2 aircraft).

- The base 'DCS World' is contained in the P-51 download (oh, actually it not just in a torrent now - cool). It's here:

http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/in...135&lang=en

- If you already own A10 or Black Shark 2 then in the future they will be made available as 'modules' to add back into the DCS world. It could be something like a download of just the A10 bits and then activating your key again.

Exactly as they said above smile

The cool bit is that the P-51 download comes with 2 different installs:
- DCS World
- P-51

DCS world is free, and it comes with the Su-25T as flyable.

I think FC3 might still be worth a look though Captain, as I understand it it will bring up the FC2 aircraft more to DCS standard. The free DCS World Su25T is very nice, but a full clickable cockpit and 'DCS treatment' would be a nice new thing to buy. I love the Frogfoot smile

If there is such a rumour, it is certainly not true. There may or may not be features added, but ... DCS standard - no. It will certainly bring those aircraft into the new DCS World, though.

So if they are basically the same aircraft/pits and I already own FC2 then is the plan I buy it again to run them in the DCS World? Sounds a bit less compelling smile

Basically. Whether there are other compelling features than being able to connect to the rest of the DCS modules, I cannot confirm nor deny.

Certainly missions can become a bit more interesting thanks to additional ME capability.
